Japanese State took part as the employer in this project. After the Iran Bam Earthquake, emergency settlements consist of residential buildings formed by the combination of dual units of 3m width and 12m length, were completed by DORCE and shipped to the earthquake zone as “flat-pack” and transformed into volumetric structures in the site. These multi-purpose containers met the temporary accommodation needs of the victims after the earthquake. Later, these buildings were transferred to different regions of Iran and started to be used as a university dormitory.
